Rivenrock Lodge sits on a private mile of the Missouri River in Craig, Montana. It’s where many of our clients stay,five rooms on the water, with meals and logistics handled so the only thing you think about is fly fishing.
Rivenrock Lodge – The Property
The lodge is built of hand-laid stone, furnished with handmade hickory, and anchored by a library on the history of the river. Originally a private sporting retreat, it has been restored with that history intact. Five rooms, Lewis, Clark, Cascade, Craig, and Dearborn, each named for the river and the landscape that shaped it. California king beds, en-suite bathrooms, fireplaces in the suites, and unobstructed river views.

The Riven rock Lodge Experience
Mornings start with fresh coffee and a hearty breakfast timed to your launch. Lunches are packed and ready for the river. Evenings end with dinners built from locally sourced ingredients, wine pairings, and cocktails by the fire pit under a Montana sky without light pollution to soften it.
Everything between the first cast and lights out is taken care of. That’s the point.
The Fishing at Riven rock
Rivenrock puts you in Craig, at the center of the Missouri’s trout water. We guide drift boat floats, walk-and-wade days, and private jet boat trips into the Land of Giants. Spring brings Blue-Winged Olives and the first good dry fly days; summer means PMDs, caddis, and tricos; fall turns back to BWOs and streamer water. Your guide sets the plan each evening based on flows and what’s hatching.
For guests adding a Land of Giants day, meet your guides at 3131 Gates of the Mountains Road, about 35 minutes from the lodge. The canyon below Hauser Dam is reached only by jet boat with a licensed U.S. Coast Guard captain, and it holds some of the largest trout in the Missouri River system.

Rivenrock Lodge operates on all-inclusive packages — lodging, guided fishing, full breakfast, riverside lunch, four-course dinner, and cocktails, wine, and spirits. Full lodge buyouts are available for groups; see our corporate packages.
