Fishing Report for Georgetown SC

Orvis Endorsed Missouri River outfitter - Jeff Lattig by Jeff Lattig on November 13, 2016 (Updated: January 3, 2024)
Fly fishing for redfish- living water guide

The weather and fishing continues to be fantastic!  Fall offers some of the best fishing we see all year.  We are seeing great numbers of Speckled Sea Trout along with lots of schooling Redfish .  Fishing around the Murrells Inlet and Georgetown jetties have been hot. Carolina rigs using live mullet or shrimp will be the top baits when fishing around structure like the rock jetties. As the water temperature drops the fishing will only get better. Cooler water temps really tiger the fish in to a feed mode before the winter months. Keep checking the captain blog for more reports for the Grandstand area.

Excellent suggestions for speckled sea trout. I live on tidal creek connected to Rantowles Creek and have caught red drum and speckled trout on mud minnows and popper off my dock at slack tide.
