Late Fall Fishing Report

outfitter - Jeff Lattig by Jeff Lattig on November 15, 2015 (Updated: April 27, 2018)

Fishing Report for DeBordieu, Pawleys Island and Georgetown

It’s finally feeling like Fall. I woke up this morning with a frost on my truck and that long awaited crisp morning.  November is hands down my favorite month here in Georgetown South Carolina for all that it offers the outdoorsmen. Deer hunting, duck hunting , Marsh Hens, Quail and of course schooling Redfish.  Air temperatures are finally dropping and our water is hanging around the 60’s .  Redfish are beginning to form their winter schools and eating artificial baits and flies rather well.  Speckled Sea Trout have been spotty,  here one day and gone the next.   We are still seeing the flood effects with a lot of fresh dirty water fishing around the falling tide cycle. The top of the rising tide has been offering the cleanest water.  We have had some epic fly fishing trips site fishing schooling Redfish and finding some trout and snapper blues under diving birds.  Our fingers are crossed for winter fishing in hopes our water clears up.   November – December is usually a site fisherman’s dream with gin clear water and large schools of Redfish to target.  Hope everyone has a great and safe Thanksgiving and hope to see you on the water.

Till Next Tide
