Fly fishing Georgetown for Tailing Redfish schooling Redfish. Winyah Bay / North Inlet Reserve is a pristine salt marsh. The South Carolina marsh is year round fishery teaming with Redfish and Speckled Sea trout. This particular morning the fish were tailing on mud flats and blowing up on grass shrimp.

My favorite way to target these amazing fish. When Redfish are feeding so hard you can hear them before you see them! That will get your heart pounding. Redfish make a distinct smacking sound when feeding shrimp. Schooled up fish is the ideal situation as it creates competition. Tailing Redfish will often charge a well presented fly, racing to beat out others in the pack. This video is a great example of what Georgetown, DeBordieu, and Pawleys Island have to offer Fly Fisherman. Pristine water, endless miles of tidal marsh, an abundance of wildlife and of course hungry Redfish! To find out more about fly fishing Georgetown feel free to Contact Capt. Jeff
